Pan dr Alexander Mikkelsen otrzymał na Wydziale Fizyki dwuletnie stypendium w ramach konkursu Marie Skłodowska-Curie action Individual Fellowship (H2020-MSCA-IF-2016) w programie Horizon 2020 - Research and Innovation Framework Programme. Koordynatorem projektu zatytułowanego "Electric field driven propulsion and collective dynamics of homogeneous and patchy colloidal capsules", objętego wsparciem stypendium, jest dr Zbigniew Rozynek z Instytutu Akustyki na Wydziale Fizyki UAM. Otrzymane fundusze wynoszą 134 662 Euro.
Dr. Alexander Mikkelsen is a talented Norwegian researcher specialized in physics of soft and complex matter, in particular physics of colloidal particles and fluid systems subjected to electric fields. He studied physics in Norway, where he received his MSc and PhD from the Department of Physics at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in 2012 and 2016. His thesis work at NTNU focused on particle assembly guided by electrohydrodynamics and dielectrophoresis, and was conducted in the research group of Prof. Jon Otto Fossum. Despite his young academic age, Alexander has already developed extensive experimental experience and scientific networks from research visits around the world, participated and conveyed research results at many international conferences and authored several academic papers within soft matter physics, including high impact publications in the prestigious journal Nature Communications.
