We kindly inform you that on November 22, the official ceremony for awarding the UAM Foundation Scholarships took place at the Poznań Science and Technology Park. The event also served as an opportunity to showcase the research projects conducted by PhD students.

Among the winners of the 16th edition of the UAM Doctoral Scholarship Program were PhD students from our faculty:

  • Mathieu Moalic - Project title: "Numerical study of the magnetic coupling between a ferromagnetic stripe and a skyrmion inscribed in a nanodot", funding: PLN 20,000

  • Mateusz Gołębiewski - Project title: "New methods of controlling spin waves using structuring and complex geometry of ferromagnetic nanostructures", funding: PLN 20,000

  • Martin Solar - Project title: "Constraining supernova progenitors via multiwavelength observations in their environments", funding: PLN 20,000

Congratulations to all the winners, and we wish you continued success!

The UAM Foundation Scholarships program boasts over 15 years of tradition. During this time, more than PLN 3 million has been awarded. Since 2008, 10 laureates—doctoral students from UAM—are selected annually. The criteria by which the Competition Committee evaluates candidates include the societal or economic relevance of the research problem, the potential impact of the research on addressing that problem, the feasibility of implementing the proposed solution or method, innovation, and alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals.
