Abstract:
A short history of physical research on nonlinear optics and nucleic acid at UAM will be given. The bases of molecular description of optical Kerr effect and light scattering changes in strong optical field will be introduced. Geometry of the measurement setups will be described and the obtained results for different time range of the inducing light pulse will be presented. The conclusions dealing with the application of nonlinear effects as applied to the study of the macromolecules in water solution will be summarized.
