German-Ukrainian Core of Excellence team

To support Ukrainian science, the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) has funded four Cores of Excellence. One of these, the Plasma Spin Energy center, is being established in cooperation between the Max Planck Institute of Microstructure Physics in Halle and V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University. The center will ultimately be based in Kharkiv. Its goal is to develop plasma-based techniques for fabricating spintronic components and thereby enable next-generation electronic devices. Prof. Aleksei Chechkin will provide information about the center’s research and opportunities for potential collaboration with the Halle/Kharkiv.
