Welcome all foreign students to AMU Foreign Languages Teaching Centre. We are an inter-departmental unit whose aim is to promote and facilitate foreign language learning among University students.
AMU Foreign Languages Teaching Centre offers courses in the following languages: English, German, Spanish, French, Italian and Russian at different levels. Moreover, there are courses in Specialist Languages (e.g. ESP , Business English, Academic English, Latin etc.)
All Erasmus students and other foreign students from all faculties are welcome to take part in a foreign language course of their choice.
A foreign student coming to Poznań either for a semester or a year can choose a foreign language course even if it is not included in their program of studies (e.g. 2nd year of Master’s Degree).
A foreign student can choose a language course which is conducted at the faculty where they are studying or at any other faculty. If they wished to extend their language learning experience (e.g. learn 2 languages), there are also language courses on the commercial offer of AMU Foreign Languages Teaching Centre (30 or 60 hours per semester), for which they have to pay a tuition fee.
A foreign student gets 2 ECTS points for one semester of a foreign language course.

AMU Foreign Languages Teaching Centre also offers courses of English for students with hearing difficulties or hearing impairment. The venue of the courses is room 024 in the building of Collegium Heliodori Święcicki at 6 Grunwaldzka Street. The courses are run by an English teacher together with a sign language interpreter.

W roku akademickim 2022/2023 Studium Jezykowe UAM będzie prowadzić lektoraty z języka angielskiego, języka niemieckiego, języka hiszpańskiego, języka francuskiego, włoskiego i języka rosyjskiego. Zapraszamy serdecznie studentów Erasmusa oraz innych studentów zagranicznych z wszystkich wydziałów do udziału w lektoratach z wybranego języka obcego na poziomach A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2
Student zagraniczny przyjeżdżający na semestr lub rok ma do wykorzystania limit semestralny w wys. 60 godzin, również, gdy jest studentem roku, dla którego lektoraty nie są przewidziane (np. II rok studiów II stopnia) lub przewidziana jest mniejsza liczba godzin.
Student zagraniczny może w ramach lektoratów studiować te języki, które obowiązują w programach studiów na danym wydziale. Rezygnując z oferty wydziałowej i wybierając lektorat języka na innym wydziale w wymiarze maks. 60 godzin w semestrze, lub kurs językowy z pozaprogramowej oferty Szkoły Językowej (maks. 60 godz.) student zagraniczny nie ponosi opłaty.
