Quantum control theory
Speaker: Prof. Yoichi Uetake (Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science, Adam Mickiewicz University)
Date, Time: 14.12, 15:00 - 16:00
In the last few decades, control theorists and engineers have gone into the nanoscale and
the quantum level. In the talk, I will review the so-called modern control theory based on the
state-space equation developed by R. E. Kalman and associates for classical mechanics and/or
electric systems. Then I will discuss the applicability of this theory to quantum systems. I will
give some (theoretical) examples from quantum stochastic di erential equations (QSDE) and
quantum potential scattering.
